Thank you for visiting our web site
The Seasoned Reader, formally 55 Plus News, is celebrating our 11th year providing a monthly resource for Oklahoma seniors.
As the new owner, I have one simple goal: to continue to make our publication the source for "seasoned" information and entertainment. Many readers have assisted us in determining the types of information they would like to see. Along with implementing these recommendations, readers enjoy an entirely new format, along with new monthly columns including: Retire Smart by Mark Miller, the Financial Advisor by Dewayne McAnally and Pet World by Dr. Tracey Alden. Our goal has been to include as much local information as possible, so we have sought out local professionals to provide the majority of our content.
Our mission is "to provide an easy to read, entertaining and informative monthly publication for the seasoned population in Oklahoma." We define "seasoned" as: 1) rendered competent through trial and experience, or 2) knowledgeable about life, due to life's experiences. We believe a seasoned reader to be anyone whose experiences have led them to a greater understanding of the joys (and struggles) of daily life. In other words, only you can decide if you are seasoned. If you are not there yet, you will be soon. Just keep your eyes open to the wonders and enjoyment your life brings.
The team involved in the Seasoned Reader, above all else, understands not only the impact of the seasoned population today, but also the challenges. Please enjoy our new web site and continue to read our monthly publication. If we can ever be of service to you, do not hesitate to call. |
